Get a cockatiel, conures and quakers are for more advanced bird owners, cockatiels are beginner birds. Look online at each type of bird (they all require a lot of time out of their cages) and then get a handfed baby.
I suggest finding online chat rooms and forums. Right now I prefer one called "for the love of Parrots" on Facebook. It's better if you can have an actual discussion with bird owners so you can go back and forth and ask questions, as well as have support after you acquire your new family member.
comures and quakers are expensive, cockatiels are generally cheaper. they don't need as much aattention, but are willing to accept any attention you give them.cockatiels are the best <
