Computer suddenly stopped recognizing monitor amd never has again?

If under warranty follow advice above. Otherwise if you have an available slot to install one - buy or borrow a compatible graphics card. Which if it works should help you determine the exact problem. You may need to disable the built-in graphics in the BIOS to use a graphics card.

Try updating the firmware of the monitor. If there is any update of course.

Check if another screen works on your pc. If it doesn't, then you probably have a GPU failure.

If it does work, and you can't update the firmware. Then I don't know. Sorry.

Contact the maker for warranty coverage of a repair. That is all that can be suggested from just "POS from Walmart, six months old" and no technical description.

sounds like the graphics card if your dvd player works, i'd take you gpu out and look at the connecters and clean all the dust

IMHO I would try another graphics card first and if still nothing maybe the board has blown, if not then Google my full name or use my links thanks ian . <
