I am sorry to say, but this is definitely one of the dumbest questions ever! Of course dogs have brains. All animals do. Reserch proves it. Vets know dog anatomy and physiology very well. They could not live, learn, love, or communicate (mostly through body language) if they did not have a brain. Not all dogs chase their tails!! Oh, and do you always do what you are told? I doubt it. Some dogs are smarter then others, just like people. They all have their own personalities and traits. I prefer dogs over many people.
Yes, they have brains. If they didn't, the wouldn't even be alive. With that said, do you do what your Mom and Dad tell you to do all of the time? Do you go t bed when your Mom and Dad tell you to all of the time? Dogs aren't suppose to talk and it's normal for some dogs to chase their tails. Do you think you're normal by asking this question? I don't, so you must be a troll.
Of course dogs have brains. They just don't understand words as much as we do. They communicate more with body language. If the dog has not been properly trained he will not do what you tell him because he doesn't understand. With proper training they will eventually understand things you say, or you can use body language to communicate.
DUH! Okay try doing something new and different called THINKING. If dogs didn't have brains they would not be capable of being house broken and learning how to let you know that they need to go outside to relieve themselves or learn how to be good canine citizens. Also if you had bothered to lower yourself to do even a modicum of research you'd know that border collies and poodles are the two smartest breeds as far as being able to be trained so that puts their level of intellect far over yours. So you tell me based upon what you've been told (even though i seriously doubt that you'll be able to absorb it as it takes having a brain and an IQ that is not in the negative as yours is at least -247) to know this.
How can dogs learn to eat, sleep, and new things? They have brains! Every living thing has a brain! Except for plants.
All living creatures have Brains. Dogs might be smarter than humans but their Brains might just not process how to speak. They purposefully (mostly) disobey because they don't want to do something but they can hear you and understand you! :)
Hopefully you don't have a dog. If you were capable of communicating with a dog, you would know that it's more intelligent than you.

Research has shown most dogs have the smarts of a toddler (around 2.5 yrs)
if you treat your dog to a good teaching and positive enviroment you can start to see it
my dogs know what out means asked if they want to go for a walk they get crazy happy etc
