What happens if you accidentally accepted counterfeit money?

You violated proper procedures - as you well know! You failed to do your job & exercise proper caution. Worse, you KNOW you accepted counterfeit bills, and then you LIED about it. Expect now that the best possible outcome is you get fired and have to repay the $200. Worst, you're suspected of being in cahoots with the counterfeiters, accepting obviously fake bills without any attempt to check them, and get criminally charged.

Go to your manager immediately, tell him you've thought over those counterfeit bills he was asking about, and that you believe it may very well have been you who took in those bills, so you want to make that $200 good to the company. Have proper cash to hand over immediately. Along with a huge apology.

Your manager could require you to repay the $200 if that is his policy, or he might excuse you for a first offense.

If they find out it was you termination may occur, not because of the mistake but because of the lying. Anyone can make a mistake but lying shows you can not be trusted. <

Should I major in Geology or Marketing?

As a Geology major that ended up working my entire career in Marketing , I would recommend Marketing. <

A product increased by 5% in one year and by 8% in the next year, what was the overall percentage increase in sales over the two years?

13%

5% + 8% = 13% increase in 2 years.

13.4%. lets say you start with 100 in sales. 5% increase after one year would be 105 in sales. However, you are starting year 2 at 105 (not 100). 105*8% = 113.4 or 13.4% over all. <

Thoughts on working 2 jobs?

Sounds like a great fit! You would be awake for more than 12 hours a day anyway so after adjusting for the early morning hours you should be fine. Good Luck

If you need that extra money,go for it! But don't overdo it! If you feel bad,and you think it may ruin your health, quit 1 job.But you can't know until you try it out,can you? :D

you can always try it.
if you are disciplined to get to bed by 8pm and sleep until 230am, you will have plenty of rest.
consider this, maybe use your extra time to go to school to land a better job? <

Can I become an avon rep.?

Not until you are 18 in the UK <

Good online jobs?

there is NO such thing as an "online job"

there are employers who allow employees to work remotely using the network

there are careers that use the internet as a tool, and you can make a very good living working from home working in real estate, bookkeeping, IT consulting, sales, marketing, law.

there are jobs working for virtual call centers, customer service, the IRS and SSA but many of these are only obtainable through an employment agency that is contracted to supply work for the disabled.

BUT
there is NO such thing as an online job; those are all scams! <

Are there any legit work at home jobs that is not Ameriplan or other things like that?

Unless you have particular skills that people are willing to pay for, then all you will find are scams. If you find anything legit, which is virtually impossible, they pay little or nothing and are not worth the time and effort. <

Should my dad quit his job and work for another company?

First this is your Dad's decision and you should not be airing your families dirty laundry in public. Commission sales can be very lucrative, but it is not uncommon for the commission to be delayed UNTIL the customer pays the invoice which is typically 30-60 days later.

I don't understand the commission backed up thing. Shouldn't he be getting commission for three months ago this month? Most sales workers are paid by incentive. But ultimately this is none of your business. Your father is in charge of his own career.

It is his decision. It isn't like there are a lot of jobs laying around. You are in no position to make that kind of decision for you.

He is well aware of the issue, and I am willing to bet he would get another job if he could find one. <

Is there any job/career that pays an average salary of around $50K a year and a shorter workweek?

Really only the owner of a mature self running business comes to mind, and getting to that point might take long hours and risk.

There may be very successful commission salesmen who make that on a small work week, but competitive forces from others and the temptation of more money may make it hard to keep those hours down.

More typically those low hour jobs are entry level low pay positions. <

Legit home based jobs?

Excellent answer from chris. There are plenty, so long as you have skills. Or as I usually put it, if you can provide a product or service that people want and are willing to pay for. To his very good list, I'd add freelance writer, freelance graphic artist, and web designer.

Hope that helps.

Few, if any. No one pays people for doing nothing at home. If you have specialized skills that don't require you being somewhere, sure - but then you'd be landing those contracts anyway. <

Are there any legal career options for doctors?

You'd have to be both a doctor AND a lawyer. Then you specialize in medical legal work. <

How well did I handle the incident with my co-worker smacking me in the face with a wet towel filled with bleach and ammonia?

It's not filled with bleach and ammonia. When you combine those two things, toxic fumes occur and anyone exposed to it for any length of time would get quite ill.

This is an old job? And you are still worked up about how you reacted? To the point you've felt the need to ask strangers on the Internet to make you feel validated?

I think you need to get into therapy. Why would you value our opinions?

If you were being smacked in the face with toxic substances, you needed to handle it in a serious manner. When you well-being is at risk, you need to have th confidence to speak up and speak out. Sorry, when you are at risk, it's not the time to dwell on the mental health of the attacker.

Depends if it was by accident or on purpose. It's sad but people tend to think stuff like that is funny, I really don't know why. It's not funny when there are chemicals involved that can harm you. If you haven't reported his behavior then do so. Don't give him the power to pull things like that and never loose your temper at work or he won't take you seriously.

I think you've showed a lot of restraint by maintaining control of your temper and casually telling him he needed to stop, I also think you were being really nice by showing empathy towards him when he didn't do anything to you to deserve it.

Sounds like you did the right thing by not losing your temper. It sounds like he doesn't quite get what's right and wrong, and attacking him physically would probably make matters worse. I'm glad your supervisor took charge though. This guy needs to learn that there are consequences to his actions.

that's pretty bad. you aren't supposed to mix bleach and ammonia, it can cause a very dangerous chemical reaction. <

If you was 52 years old, would you quit your $500K job to go back to school in hopes of a $50K job were you had to compete with thousands?

If I made 500k a year I would have invested enough money to retire at age 52.

Yes, I would love to go back to school after retirement but no, I probably wouldn't compete for a full-time job. I'd much rather take a part-time volunteer position that I found interesting and rewarding.

If I was making $500k a year at 52 I'd be awful close to retiring, as it wasI retired at 56 and never made close to that

Yes, if I were you I would quit a $500k part time job.

Then you should tell me where that job is so I could get it.

absolutely NOT !

if earning 500k, u could NOT afford to
go to a 50 k life style with out DRASTIC
financial problems.

Only if my job was going to get cut, and my field was going to pot. Otherwise, I'd be stupid to take a big cut like that! <

What to do with employee that keeps having time off?

Well, I guess you can tell her to stop wanting time off for a death in the family. Or that she can't take more than a couple of hours at the A&E for a badly burned hand. You guess that was OK? You, seriously, guess that was ok? And she came to work next day - on medication. And you find that unacceptable?

The boys work schedule is what is unacceptable. Why are you catering to them and expect the good employee to pick up their slack. Get rid of them and hire someone who is as good as the girl. So they can cover each other. You are expecting too much of one employee to never need time off - for a death or a burned hand or anything else.

Hopefully - she is looking for another job that will treat her better.

Your favour is clearly with the boys and not the 22 year old. She is the backbone of your business and picks up the slack but you are being too hard on her and I suspect she feels undervalued.

It is up to YOU as the manager to train the 16 years olds to do their job and be confident. If they don't shape up fire them and get in people who have experience.

6 days in a year is not a lot of time off. I am sure she did not burn herself on purpose and she is entitled to time off for funeral's etc.

You should also tell the 16 year olds that from now on, they cannot have the same time off. It is putting the rest of your staff under too much strain.

Watch out or you'll lose the 22 year old to another business and be left with two novices.

HR is a mine field and you have to be careful how you approach it. If the time off was for genuine reasons then you cannot punish her for the absences. However you can approach sick leave levels. You ideally need to have a management of attendance for staff so they are aware of a certain number of absences can trigger this off such as 3 incidents in 6 months can mean a verbal warning 4 within 8 months can mean a written warning and 5 within 12 months would result in dismissal. In doing this you are covering your own back but also making her aware of the situation. However be aware that time off for bereavement does not come under sick leave. Everyone is entitled to bereavement leave. If time is booked of in advance (like the two 16 yr olds) then this cannot form part of management of attendance. There are lots of policies on the net so have a look.

Really? you are bending over backwards to accommodate two 16 year olds for football and complaining about a model employee who burnt her hand working for you and showed up the next day? Your priorities are screwed up - you should be firing the two teenagers, not calling the good employee who is covering for your two younger kids on the carpet. You certainly cannot tell her time off is unacceptable without saying the same thing to your other employees.

Most of them seem to be genuine reasons, except for the latest one. However, as an employer, your behavior is not correct. You are being more lenient with some and expecting more with other. This is bound o create resentment in ANYBODY. So you should make sure that you are being fair towards her. AND 6 DAYS LEAVE IN A YEAR IS NOT MUCH!!! If the girls aren't working well, maybe you and her need to take time out and train the two girls. If they make mistake, don't fix their mistakes, ask them to fix it themselves. REMEMBER- ALWAYS REWARD GOOD EMPLOYEES OR YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE THEM

I had a UK catering business and you are out of line here. You are giving too much time off to the 16 year old kids. No wonder the lady is having time off as well.

You have to treat your staff ALL the same.
Might be best if you sack the lot of them and employ staff who do not want time off.
UK

A lot of part time employees have 2-3 jobs so they may be working at other locations. I only have one part time job. I spend most of my time looking for another part time job or doing house work. I don't have kids and I don't go to school.
6 days off in a year isn't really a lot of time off when you think about it, unless she only works a few hrs a week, she shouldn't be taking days off, she should be scheduling other activities around her work schedule.
If you don't want her working for you any more then you should fire her and get some on that really wants to be there and work for you. If you really want her to work for you then you should have a talk with her about her time off but keep in mind workers do have a right to time off when they need it.

Hire a mature person who NEEDS a job. Never hire someone who WANTS a job. There will be a big difference in attendance and performance with someone who needs a job. Get rid of all of them and only keep 1 student.

I would get rid of the boys. Of course she's upset, they get off whenever they want and she has to pick up their slack. She isn't getting treated the same. <

Reasons for quitting job?

If you are apprehensive about telling your employer that you will be leaving, then you probably have some sort of a happy relationship with co-workers. They should be happy for you that you are moving on to bigger and better things in your life. If they are not, then screw them! It's your future, not theirs. But regardless of this, you should never feel any sort of emotional way about conducting business. This is a normal thing and it should be treated professionally.

You can opt not to disclose that you have been given a better offer - it's up to them to speculate. Just make sure to exit the company gracefully and don't burn any bridges, just in case you need to backpedal (apply again) in the future.

You don't need to disclose that information. It will be difficult to not disclose it because people are going to ask you and it is hard to say that you can't tell them.

If this disclosure thing is important to you just drop off your resignation with no notice (not optimal) so you will not need to see anyone because they will ask you.

Best wishes!

An America, EVERY state is 'at-will'....meaning; an employer can let an employee go for no reason and an employee can quit for no reason. Therefore, start your new job and move on.

You do not have to have a reason but if you want any kind of reference leave a 2 week notice. Say you got another opportunity.

You can give them a 2 week notice. That is the industry standard. Do it in writing and provide that letter in person to the person that hired you.

Say "I have found an opportunity that is better suited for me at this time."

This way you leave on good terms.

Unsatisfied with the company, money matters, for change to go to new company earn more ,learn more etc,or some diputes with boss or staff members.

You don't have to tell them your future plans. Just submit your resignation - no "reason" is required. <

My employer overpaid me by $100 on my last paycheck?

What would you do if your employer had underpaid you by $100? It would probably involve profanity and accusations of stealing.

The honest, least complicated thing to do would be to cash the check and inform the employer so they can reduce your next check by $100. That way they don't have to mess with writing another check.

Of course you could just cash it and pretend you didn't notice. If you do that, you have a much bigger problem on your hands.

Everyone has their price for sacrificing their integrity. Fortunately, most people go through life without ever finding out what that price is. If you're willing to sacrifice your integrity for $100, your problems go much deeper than anything $100 would buy.

they could discover it in the future and take the money back out of a future paycheck - perfectly legal - tell them and don't spend that money

Go ahead and check into it with payroll. Better to give the money back now, before you spend it. They WILL figure it out and the week they decide to take it back, may be even more inconvenient. (like rent week)

It may be due to the payment system they use for example the Final Decution System will refund you money if you were over taxed the perivious months.

Eventually, the books somewhere will not balance and they will either ask for it back or just deduct it from your paycheck.

They will figure it out.

If you do not tell them now, when they notice their mistake, they will assume you are either an idiot or a thief....neither would bode well for your future there...

They will eventually figure it out, and ask for it back. {But are you sure it is not unused sick time or vacation pay? Maybe overtime?} <

If I am a stripper do I have a better chance of passing a sobriety test?

Being sober gives you a better chance of passing a sobriety test.

Being a stripper is just a job.

There is no direct correlation. Considering strip clubs typically serve alcohol, and plenty of the people who work in them drink, I'd say working in an environment that serves alcohol does not increase your chances of not drinking.

The only way I can see that it may help you is if you drink at work and have built a toke thence. But it will only help with the physical test. Not the breathalyzer.

No being a stripper doesn't give you any special skills other than taking your clothes off and just about any idiot can do that

If you are used to dancing drunk , in high heels , I assume you could walk a straight line better than most of us . <

Managers just sit around at work?

No, it's not normal. Many managers work just as hard or harder than the employees. I am a manager in a payroll department. Have 3 younger employees. I work circles around them mostly because I have a good work ethic. And I have the opposite problem of yours. My employees think it's ok to sit around surfing the internet and texting on cell phones for part of the day. And they will wonder why they will get less than stellar reviews and raises. And will never be considered for a manager position.

So, no, it's not necessarily normal. And mostly it's not ok. However, the job of managers is to manage. If they aren't contributing - as well as managing - then the higher ups will, hopefully, realize this - and start to think they have too many managers and eliminate a few of them.

Many managers have different duties and job descriptions than the "line" workers. Doesn't sound like these managers do - if they have time to talk amongst themselves and be on cell phones.

Do the job you were hired to do - and don't worry about what others do - or don't do. Someday you may be a manager somewhere and will, hopefully, look back on this experience and know what a good manager is. And not be the kind of manager you are now complaining about.

In the past in my Job, my Manager has actually helped me do the job when it's really busy and short staffed. My Manager even did all the dirty work in his suit.

Managers do do a lot of work and are probably under a lot more pressure then you are. They have more responsibilities and have to deal with all sorts of people, even idiots on a daily basis.

A manager's job is to bring order to chaos, and to speak on behalf of his team to other departments and owners.

In an orchestra, the conductor does not play an instrument.

It is always going to seem like managers are not doing much but usually there is a lot of stuff they are doing that is not obvious. Some of the stuff they do is pretty distasteful like working on budgets, policies, firing people and planning.

Even if they are not busy it is really not something for you to be critical of because they are the ones who are writing or authorizing your paycheck.

Keep your head down and work hard and perhaps you will get promoted to one of those positions someday.

Best wishes!

I'm a manager & I work all day, as well as supervise employees. So no it's not "normal" although I've seen it before too.

yes i do belive that they can do that. and yes it sucks, and yes its just how the world works and people suck <

What jobs pay well for "attractive women"..? besides stripping?

One example: female news casters.....It seems that every time I turn on the news, the women who get those jobs, are almost always exceptionally attractive, and are dressed in a far more provocative way and are far more attractive than their male counterparts. I'm sure there are a whole slew of less attractive women who want to land these types of jobs, are passed over and not hired, when they are just as competent than their counterparts. Its probably very discouraging to these women who are probably passed up for these jobs.

Anything to do with the public like Public Relations, Customer Service, Staff training sessions, or being in the public eye with television work or journalism.

The attractive part might get you hired but the skill set is required for all jobs. If you try to hide it, it will be your downfall. So you need to use your brain rather than your body.

Use your looks to land someone or you charge for dinner dates only. You can post free on Craigs List. I dont mean escorts either, just dinner and conversation. It pay $.

Well if you are talking about getting paid for looks then stripping or actor or porn star, businesses pay you for work done not looks.

Architect, doctor, investment banker, president, CEO of major corporation, head of government department... loads of things really. <

Is this a rejection?

Sounds like you've never applied for a job before. This is common. You cannot expect to get a job just because you apply. They get hundreds of applications & can't hire everyone. Be glad you at least got the email. Many companies don't even respond to those who aren't picked.. so people sit there waiting and hoping for weeks. Apply to a bunch of places, not just one. There is not a single person who hasn't been rejected for more jobs than they ended up getting. Shake this off & hit the streets running. Good luck!

Employers will seldom reveal the reason your application was rejected. They may have had no openings or you may have not had the type of education or skills they were looking for.

Don't drive yourself crazy over this or feel personally rejected.

It is likely you will need to turn in many applications (50-100) before you land a job.

Best wishes!

For such a quick response it's possible that they are fully staffed at that the moment and they need no additional help.
It could also be that you didn't meet a requirement for the job that you applied for. It's possible you are under their age limit or under qualified for a position you applied for.
I know Target prefers workers who are at least college students, as well.

Yes, it is a rejection. It's very clear. As for "why", no one on here knows that. Because it's such a big company, if they wanted you to work for them, they probably would have found someplace for you. So I would forget about working at Target.

Correct, when companies have viewed your resume and did not find that you where the correct fit for the job, then they will send you this email. The no reply-email is an automated (usually a computer system) that send you the email after a manager decides you were not chosen for the position. I hope this helps, good luck in the job search and stay at it. God Bless!

They rejected you because 100 people applied for the job. What makes you think that you would be the best out of all of those 100 people?

Yes it's a rejection.

A computer program scanned your application, and didn't find what it was programmed to look for.

Yes you were rejected
Not being smart enough to realize that was a rejection maybe the very reason you were rejected

The official (also tongue-in-cheek) phraseology for such a letter is "Polite Turn-down," otherwise known to the novice job seeker as letter of rejection.

How would we know? We don't know what was on your resume or if you have a criminal history or what your situation is.
You were denied......perhaps they had other candidates with "retail" experience. Keep trying elsewhere...don't give up

Fear of rejection is the #1 cause of loss of women. Ridding yourself of this pernicious pressure will help you progress faster. <

Can I ask for shorter working hours? Help!!!!?

The fatigue can be from any of the following: Standing long hours on a cement-based floor, common in grocery stores. Working a schedule you are not used to. Getting up very early. Not getting restful sleep, because you are sore, and exhausted from work you have not yet become accustomed to.

It just might be that job that is tiring you out, not working 39 hours. I have had terrible leg and back pains from 2 jobs in my life. Otherwise I can work easily over 60 hours without that fatigue. It depends on what you are doing, and how well conditioned you are.

Are you working 3, 4 or 5 days a week? That also matters, a lot. Some companies have employees work very long hours which are too much for most people.

As others said, you can always ask for shorter hours. However, the management might not give you what you asked for.

For your sadness and suicidal thoughts, please get to a therapist. That requires professional help available to avoid death or continued sadness. That should become your #1 priority to save your life and sanity.

There are 168 hours in a week
Even allowing 8 hours a night to sleep that leaves 112 hours
Taking 39 out of that leaves 73 hours for you to rest, relax and whatever else you like to do.
You are 18 not 80. 39 hours a week is literally nothing. I worked 9 hours every Saturday from age 14 plus full time 50 hours (6 days though we had an early closing on Wed) during school holidays and I survived it. You will need to toughen up a bit as more and more people are finding they need their full time job plus a part time job just to keep afloat. Really your 39 hours will look easy in a couple of years.

Sorry but 40 hours a week is normal. Most 18 year olds could handle a lot more hours & would be happy to have the job. You have no "rights" to less hours & if the company needs someone 39 hours a week they are not going to cut your hours unless they already have someone on the payroll who is only part time that wants your extra hours. They aren't going to cut you to 32 hours & hire someone for 7 hours a week- no one would take that job. Maybe it's the job that you can't handle instead of the hours? Or maybe you need to see a doctor about your fatigue. Good luck.

At 18 years old you should be able to do those hours with no problem

if you are having depression issues etc, then you need to see your doctor and get help. You also need a letter from your doctor to give to your employer to say that at present you are not capable of working 39 hours a week.

You can ask your employer to reduce your hours, but they are quite within their rights to say no. But having a letter backing up your request from your doctor will help enormously as would telling them that its only on a temporary basis, while you are 'ill'.

It's worrying if an 18 year old cant handle a normal working week...at your age you should be able to manage this easily, you should see your doctor and try to get to the bottom of why you can't cope at work.
Yes, ask for fewer hours.

Well, that is a full time job and waitressing is difficult for most of us. The difference between 32 and 39 is so minimal...it won't calm your nerves or help your health.

It sounds like you aren't ready to work or to deal with the stress of a full time job. You need to go to the doctor, a psychologist or psychiatrist and get yourself healthy. Work part time if at all. You have to take care of yourself and have a doctor help you figure out what the problem is so something can be done about it.

Since you just started, your boss might question why you want a part time job instead of applying for and getting a full time one. They might not need part time help. Also, since you just started work, you are likely still in the probationary period and they could easily let you go.

if you are normal 18 yr old and not ill with any ailments, 39 hours should not be a problem for you unless you are trying to do too many things
you can't work and pursue all the activities you did before you worked and keep up
you would be wise to reassess your life and decide if working is important to you or not--more than likely is now a major factor in your life
this is what happens as teen agers morph into adulthood, things they thought made up their life before are no longer 'your life' they are things of the past

I realise that you are asking for reassurance but honestly, without knowing the staffing situation at your store we have absolutely no idea whether your boss would agree to fewer hours.
How long have you been there. Every new job is tiring at first.
Are you giving up too soon. 39 is a normal working week for most and short for many so, unless you have a health problem, it should not be any problem for you.

Retail work requires a lot of stamina and the first weeks are punishing until your body gets used to the demands of the job. Wear comfortable shoes, go to bed extra early, fully rest on your days off, stay away from junk and processed foods and eat well, stay away from too much alcohol and in a month or two you'll be fine.

Waitrose is a great company to work for. Talk to your work colleagues about how hard you are finding it. They may have some tips for you.

Good luck.

If you are struggling with a 39 hour week now, you'll have no hope working a real job.

Suck it up and accept it.

Most people work 40 hours a week in the UK. At 15 I worked for 45 hours a week in the 60s. You will get used to it in time. At 65 my husband was working 16 hour days in Catering. You are young and fit you should be able to do it.
You can always ask for shorter hours, but be prepared for them to say No and let you go.
Quite honestly your Q shocked me, I have never heard of a teenager being too tired to work.
UK

You can ask but they also have the right to find someone that will work the hours. They are trying to improve their business, not just go through the motions.
And if it was up to me life would be 1 hour work and 1 hour bye.

You signed up to the contract, and that is a standard working work. Jobs are not there for your convenience and they will probably say no. Most jobs are dull. If you have mental problems, see your doctor.

Being a Trucker I worked a 70 hr week every week for over 20 years . 14 hr days . RE Your question? Who cares Not Me.

You can ask, but they also have the right to find someone that will work the hours. They are trying to improve their business, not just go through the motions.

Sure you can ask, if it was one of my employees It would just show that that person was irresponsible and could not be trusted ti do snything but the most menial tasks at the lowest wage

If you do end up getting shorter hours but still want to make money at home, I can help with that! :) Give me an email.

PLEASE! Grow UP! 39 hours isn't even full time. there are millions of people that would kill to have a full time job. <

Starting Youtube?

Negative comments are usually caused by Jealousy. Whether it be from your looks, ideas, creativeness, or following, the best way to deal with them is ignoring the negative comments and shouting out the positive ones! Maybe at the end of your videos add your favorite comments from last video to encourage positive comments? And though it will decrease your views a tiny bit, you can block users from being able to view your videos I believe. Have fun with your channel and what is your channel called?

Like seriously if u wanna be a youtuber then go for it if that's what you really love
Hey!!! there are a lot of haters in this world don't you ever forget that! And of course there is a lot of people who will support you if u become a famous youtuber

YouTube offers plenty of tools to help combat the comments on YouTube. If you don't like a comment, you can delete the comment. If someone says stuff you don't like, you can ban them from commenting on any of your videos. You can also disable comments on videos if it makes you feel better.

Hey man, I think Its best to ignore the hate cmments bcus 72% of those r other channels. Starting utube is great. Its a way o get mor social. Go For It. #BroadcastYourself

♡Hi, Darling! I, myself have never had a Youtube channel but the best advice I can give you about dealing hate is to just ignore them. Nothing pisses them off more then seeing you not care about it. But hey, that's the price you have to pay if you start one! ♡

~Best Wishes, Ser~

P.S: Goodluck!

if you wanna start a youtube channel then you have to deal with all kind of negativity as well .... these things shouldn't be bothering you

Go for it ! i definately support it.ther will be haters everywhere frm a simple grocery store to national politics. all that that matters is what you feel you will enjoy.i strongly believe haters are just people who are bored of their lives and just want to make others also miserable.all the famous youtubers like nigahiga and pewdewpie have a bunch of haters and look where they hav reachd

think of it like a panto a play where your bound to get people 'booing' if you play a baddie etc...its not real life it is expected to get sad bastards hating leaving nasty comments....it depends what you do in videos....also rememember its all good even if they are allbad comments it means people REACT...betterthan no comments

Dude. Youtube is a funny thing. A lot of people like to just make you mad. So i just respond to them and they aren't usually not nice. but sometimes i just blow them off.

1.you can disable the comments

Can my parents find out what i search on you tube through the internet?

She can either:

1. Look at your history, this is by click "CTRL + H", delete any history you don't want your parents to see.

2. Your YouTube login has all your history, go onto your account settings and delete it from there too!

She could potentially read your browser history, you can bypass this by using one of the many "private browsing" modes available in browsers or by deleting your history.

She could also be running ip sweeping software or a keylogger, but I doubt it. If either of your parents are engineers however, it is possible. <

What is the funniest youtube video you have ever seen?

Pewdiepie's Flappy bird video. <

Can I use mariah careys song on my youtube video slideshow as backround music?

It's not fair use. it's copyright infringement. You see others doing it because you see videos that are only blocked in some countries and your country happens to be one It's not blocked in.

You can't just assume because you see other videos, you can too. Others commit murder. Killing someone is still illegal

youTube has a content identifier and will likely be able to notice the songs you use in an instant.

Record labels, TV studios, Movie studios, ETC. - They give youtube digital copies of their tv shows, movies, music, ETC and YouTube stores it in a database so they can detect these in user uploads

When a video is uploaded, it processes. While it's processing, it is scanned for copyrighted material in their database

if it's a match, the video has a copyright claim on it

With a copyright claim, the video can be

1. blocked worldwide

2. Deleted and the user gets a copyright strike

3. muted video

4. blocked in some countries

It's still copyright infringement nonetheless unless you have permission from the copyright owner. The videos you can see still run the risk of being deleted. "Blocked in some countries" is always subject to change.

Those videos you see, They're still breaching copyright and they run the risk of eventually being permanently deleted

Distributing free copies of someone else's copyrighted songs is the definition of illegal copyright infringement. <

How do I get more subscribers and views in my YouTube gaming channel?

Its hard work growing your audience on YouTube. You should check out the YouTube Gaming forum and promote your channel and videos there.

A great tip is to get your friends to help you out by subscribing and commenting on your videos. Network with others, make new friends and make videos with them to get them to check your channel out.

Make good content and edit it so people see your serious and want to be successful on YouTube. Look at big YouTuber's and see what they're doing that you can do to improve.

It looks like your first video was only a little over a month ago?

I'd say you are doing pretty dam well for that short a time.

Just keep doing what you are doing and you should go far.

Channel looks good dude.

I currently have 15,000 subscribers so I'm no superstar myself. But I have found that using twitter and engaging in the topics of what you make videos about can always help bring in new subscribers.

Failing that, try collabing with another gamer with a similar style <

How to get over something disturbing u saw on YouTube?

Keep a busy life, if you are always busy with friends and family you won't get thoughts like that, if you are bored and wanting to think about something, of course those thoughts will come into your mind.

First nevrr watch them kind videos anymore. second pray and ask to free your mind of what you seen. third watch stuff that's good and non violent. fourth concentrate on candle or picture of brick wall n do it often till u can picture brick in your mind when want.idea to block things out of your mind. hope these things will help!!! <

My boyfriend and I are thinking of starting a YouTube channel. It would mostly be about video games, but what else would be cool to do?

There's a bunch of people who do channels together that I've seen on the YouTube Gaming forum. A great thing you can do is use a webcam to show your faces while gaming, so your audience can see who the voice belongs to and so they can see your reaction in the game. It works great with scary games.

Skits, humor. Just look at other successful gaming channels like rooster teeth or ign. Incorporate other aspects into gaming such as reviews, news, or just funny material.

Since its you and your boyfriend you guys should make vlogs. Such as boyfriend tag or girlfriend tag or your boyfriend can do your make up lol just ideas cx hoped I help <

Is making a gaming channel on youtube a good idea or is it too overused? Also, are people mature enough be decently nice about my young age?

Gaming is very popular on YouTube. If you want to do it and you enjoy it, then go for it. There's nothing wrong with trying it out. There's many people who start YouTube at a young age and if you network with others your age, I'm sure you'll be able to work together to become successful.

YouTube offers many tools to delete comments and ban people from commenting on your videos if you don't like what those who are immature have to say. You'll have that, that's just how people are on the internet. Even the #1 subscribed channel PewDiePie has hate on his videos.

Think of it like this: I don't watch Markiplier or TheRPGMinx because of the games they play but rather their unique commentary about the games.

I like their personalities and how they create these little characters (no one say sh*t about tiny box tim or there will be pain!).

Based on that, I think it's possible for you to create a gaming channel, but you need to create a persona that would interest others to watch. Simple How-To's won't cut it.

If you feel like you have originality it is worth it, if you're going to try to be "like" someone then there is no point. Although if you enjoy doing what you do, go ahead and have fun! It's a lot of work and can cost a lot of money but overall it's fun and if you enjoy it, it is totally worth doing! 1 tip is to be yourself, it makes you a lot more unique!

It's overdone but if you did it well you might have some fun with it.

You'll probably get trolled if your under 16. <

My hair gets grasy on the second day after washing. What to do?

First, the shampoo is mainly supposed to be on your scalp. Conditioner on the end. Conditioner makes your hair greasy because of build up.

Try some dry shampoos. They will help you with this.

You either need to stop applying conditioner near the scalp or use shampoo for oily hair if you aren't already.

use baby powder or dry shampoo on ur second days..your hair will eventually adapt and wont be as greasy on those days <

How do you get rid of dandruff? What kind of shampoo brand????

Use an anti-dandruff shampoo such as loreal, pantene, head n shoulders or whichever brand u prefer and is most suitable for ur hair

My recommendations are vosene, nizorel and head and shoulders these are all products that you can buy from the store and you could try t gel if your dandruff is really bad

Head and Shoulders Classic Clean is great!
Another home remedy is to apply plain yogurt to hair for one hour and than shampoo, it really helps. <

Do you like human hair or synthetic wig?

I am fascinated in wearing synthetic wig for all the events. I was able to make stylish haircuts in this synthetic wig. Synthetic hair wig will make you the eye captured person of many people.

I like the human hair wig very much. I acquired luxurious feel to head by wearing human hair wig. I got coolness from the adequate density which is available in human hair wig. My day went successful when I wore the human hair wig.

All human hair wigs can be curled or straightened so I like it for that quality but it can get expensive. I think I prefer synthetic just because it costs less and you can get it in different shades and colorful colors. There are also synthetic wigs that can be curled or straightened too.

My friend gave tremendous compliments when I wore the fashionable synthetic wig. This synthetic wig went extremely amazing on my personality.

Hi, human hair wig is very nice to wear. By wearing the human hair wig, I got the feel of having my reel hair.

I never got any irritated feel to my head while wearing this human hair wig. The human hair fiber went well with my original hair when I wore it.

Synthetic wig is my favorite. Because I got more comfy from the synthetic fiber used in this wig. I got fashionable style to my personality by wearing the wig which is made of synthetic fiber.

I am very fond of wearing human hair wig as it gives natural look to my face and appearance when you wore it for any occasion. <

Girls, do you like guys with long hair?

It really depends on the face. Some people can pull it off nicely and others look better with short hair.

depending on the guy, if it's greasy or not. But personally i LOOOOVE long hair on guys like flow, short hair just looks to simple. <

Should I dye my hair blonde, ginger, or keep it brown?

Brown

Ginger looks good I think, brown is best, but ginger would look good, you didnt choose good lighting or a good pic, i feel like your skin tone suits ginger, and your eyes, maybe tone down the brows.

Brown, because it looks natural. Blonde is pretty but your eyebrows are quite dark so the color contrast is off, but with the brown it matches.

I think brown and ginger look best! PS: your brows are ON POINT! What do you use to fill them in? (sorry I'm asking a question in an answer but, your eyebrows are literally perfect!) :D <

Should I dye my hair black?

I am pale with black hair and blue eyes and freckles, it looks great :) i want my hair dark brown, black dye is super hard to get rid of so make sure you try dark brown first to see if you like it. Dark hair and blue eyes is striking!

No. I DO NOT recommend anyone using black hair dye.

Permanent black hair dye is linked to causing leukemia and lymphomas.

Google: Pauley Perrette Has Allergic Reaction To Black Hair Dye 7-24-14.

EXCLUSIVE: 'I thought I was going to die' Waitress' awful allergic reaction to hair dye
WAITRESS Tina Littlewood thought she was a goner after an allergic reaction to hair dye. 8-31-14. (photo)

ALLERGIC REACTION: A WOMAN was temporarily blinded when her face swelled up "like a football" following what she told was a severe reaction to hair dye.
Carmen Rowe, 25, from Swansea was hospitalised for three days after using the Clairol 'Nice n' Easy' natural black colour. She said: "I lost my job, all for the sake of a glamorous hairstyle. I just want to warn parents what could happen." She claimed she carried out a skin test 48 hours before using the dye without a problem and has been colouring her hair since she was 13. March 3, 2012.

Google: Teen 'feared she would die' after reaction to hair dye
The allergic reaction was caused by a well-known brand of semi-permanent hair dye Chloe used to turn her hair black for a Hallowe’en party. . . . . called for beauty bosses to ban hair dye chemical PPD (para-phenylenediamine) from the shelves. 11-04-11

The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. It’s made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. It’s well-known to be a cause of serious allergic reactions -- including something called contact dermatitis which can lead to rashes, blisters, and open sores.
PPD is sometimes added to black henna tattoos and that using them is not safe. Allergic reactions usually begin within two to 10 days following application. One bad reaction can lead to sensitivities to other products such as hair dye, sunblock and some types of clothing dyes. Oftentimes, it's using the product a second or third time. Skin specialist Najjia Ashraf reveals that there are barely any dyes that don’t contain this toxin; even the ones who claim they don’t, are not being honest. “Big brands often escape the blame by suggesting they are ammonia-free. However, ammonia and PPD are two very different things and PPD is present in nearly every dye because it is what gives off the colour,” she explains.

RISK OF CANCER: Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.
> > > Hair dye chemicals linked to cancer
London, Feb 20, 2013 I've been saying that since 2009.
Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 36 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <

Permanent black hair dye is linked to causing leukemia and lymphomas.

My SIL was born blonde, but she continually dyed her hair blonde, now she's got breast cancer. Another hairstylist from church, died of breast cancer, she was 3 years younger than me.

OCTOBER is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I stand up for cancer. No allergies here, OR hair falls when I was dyeing my hair, but I had frequent migraines, the 1st one lasted 14 hours

I really would not recommend you if you are going to dye your hair as I believe that the current colour of your hair is most perfect with your complexion and eye colour so enjoy while having different hair styles such as pony tails, half tie, bangs and so on. :-)

Coolhaircare.com

Maybe consider doing a dark, dark brown. Black is pretty damaging and might look a little intense with your complexion and eyes, unless you are going for a "darker" look, then by all means do it haha

.... true black cannot turn to dark brown that easily.... Better start from dark brown and if you don't like it, go for true black. <

Brunettes or blondes?

Brunettes

I'd say blonde purely because I've had brown hair before (tons of different shades) and I think blondes are a nice all season colour, brunettes - I find that people like to dye their hair a lighter brown for the summer, and a darker brown for the winter because it seems to make a lot of sense (to me) where as blondes can stay the same all year round.

Plus if you just bleach your hair blonde, it's easier in terms of up keep and less damaging as well since you can just bleach the roots every time they grew out a lot, and use purple shampoo to keep it blonde where as browns tend to fade more, so you'd be doing the roots AND the lengths to freshen up the colour. Blondes just get brassy which isn't much of a problem imo.

Actually - no.
There have been studies done, because this has been asked over and over.
In the end, the brunettes are the keepers. The blonde gets their attention first, but they end up with the brunette. You win. <

How to curl yuour hair without using heat ?

You can try putting curlers in your hair the night before, and use hairspray then sleep with them in, then when you wake up take them out. It doesn't work on everyone's hair, but it's worth a shot. That's just about the only way. If you wanted to try scrunchy curls you could buy some moose and gel from the store, and first apply moose, and then apply gel. You can look up "how to scrunch your hair" video's on youtube for help.

Use rollers or plait ur hair ( 4-5 plaits or more depending on the thickness of ur hair) and leave it overnight <

How do you make your hair grow faster?

Make sure that your scalp isn't dry. Dryness of scalp generally leads to dandruff, which, in turn, might not help in hair growth.
Protect your hair from dust, dirt and the sun when you step out during the summer. You can, perhaps, wrap a scarf around your head, as the summer sun can be pretty damaging, and dust can increase dandruff. and try bio hair treatment and biotin capsules

Well you can try taking prenatal pills, which you dont have to be pregnant to take. Its just a really good and strong multivitamin, which also helps to grow your nails and it makes your skin look better as well. Your hair can grow anywhere from a half inch to an inch a month.

For Hair grow faster you needs vitamins, minerals and nourishment, for it to be able to grow and stay healthy. Changing your diet to make your hair grow thicker and longer .Message Your scalp with oil. use conditioner .

Within three years my hair has gone from a bob to my waist. Use not freezing - but coldish water when washing it and don't use a hair dryer or any heat if possible..and look after it!!

you should get your hair trimed regualy. you should condition your hair evryday but you should only was it 4 days a week. because washing your hair evryday can make it feel dry

Inversion method. Rinsing your hair with green tea or black tea (unsweetened). Using herbal teas as a rinse (rosemary, rose petals, basil...look it up)

bioten 10,000 mcg is perfect, u can try the inversion method and greenhouse effect method. they both work for me <

What color should i Dye my hair ?

It looks like your hair is naturally dark, so I would hazard a guess at Cobalt Blue. I saw it on a friend's sister once (she has naturally black hair) and it looked really brilliant and glossy on the black. I tend not to like pink as I have seen too many girls with this colour. If the Cobalt Blue doesn't appeal perhaps Cherry Red would also look great.

It looks as though you have some damage. cut it shoulder length. Condition it, hot oil treatment. Wait until it's strong enough (or you might wind up with "straw" hair. I did) Instead of a whole head dye try highlights. a lot easier to keep up.

Why not try some high lights. You can use 1 or 2 colors to give it a bit of color but not change it completely.

Just saying, dyeing your hair is bad as it affects the roots. When y are older it will fall out. Depends on what kind of dye you use. I would say keep it the way it is. :)

Use a rinse if you want a change. My aunt got cancer from hair dye. Natural is the best I believe -less damage and has shine. Hair that is dyed looks damaged.

seriously Dont listen to this guys they seriously do not know what they are saying. id say go for any red color red fits you well but u will have to have it bleached first before dyeing it yes i know bleaching damages your hair only if you do it yourself or by a non professional so i recommend you to have it done by a professional to prevent any damages and ask for things you will have to consider after dyeing but as far as i know after you have it bleached dont use shampoo for 1 week just conditioner and then after 1 week start deep conditioning your hair once a week to keep its shine....and fyi the red color will probably start fading after like 3 weeks so you have to touch it up every 3 weeks i know it costs alot but its totally worth it trust me i had my hair red 2 yrs ago for 3 yrs and now i have blue

I absolutely adore the color you have now but I'm sure you could rock a light brown color with blonde high lights, totally cute😊

I love the color you have now, it's pretty! But another color that'd look nice is a lighter brown too!

You already have such beautiful hair, it would be a shame to dye it, but I guess it's your choice. Jet black or dark purple would suit you best, basically any dark shade :)

You should dye your hair with Natural and Herbal hair colours thats protect your hair for damages and keep your hair shiny. you choose any dark shade colour like brownish.

A nice ash blonde tone would look nice on you (:

Or L'Oreal's UL61 light ash brown dye (:

Maybe a golden brown or something light, before actually dying your hair try on a wig to see what it would look like...

I think your natural hair color is perfectly suites your personality, so don't try to change your hair color.

UMMM dye it like a golden blonde because it would match your eyes. Your gorgeous anyway so do what you want :) <

Would it look bad if a girl with a slightly chubby face cut her hair short?

Short is aging, and makes the face fatter. To me, since I am not model face material! I can make my long hair shorter, with my styles!

Short hair, looks good when I was a little girl, but I'm older now, and I don't want to look like one of the women @ our church, or the senior center. 99% of them have short hair, and they also have no idea how to style their hair, so short hair, is the easiest & fastest way for them to go!

Many girls like girls with short hair, very few men does.

So, if those are your goals, go for it!

I am now for longer hair. I HATED short hair on me! My hair is too thick to do any type of hair styling, but with my long hair, I can style it 7 different ways a week, takes 2-10 mins.

Yes I wound up cutting my hair really short and I was really chubby (A pixie lol) it does not look good. Hope you all the best..let your hair grow trust me its a big mistake to cut it short if your chubby and you will be able to do more hair styles with long hair anyways ..

Generally the rule of thumb is if you have a round face, longer hair is going to help to elongate your face and neck. If you have a longer face, a shorter cut will add bulk to the side of your face. I think this is whats important when considering your haircut. Its not your weight but your face shape. But I think whats most important is what you want, Its just hair, it will grow back, so give it a try!

Not if she cuts it really short. If she cuts it to a chin length bob where the sides hang down straight over the sides of her face, that can actually make her chubby face look slimmer. I wouldn't go shorter than that, though.

btw, if your avatar is your face, you do NOT have a remotely chubby face!! : }

depends believe it or not chubby faces often look good with short hair because it shapes their face but some look good with long it depends on shape and how it will slim the face down

Q The First Timelord here,

Why not reshape your face to be unchubby? Why slug through the insecurities you're being forced to overcome?

Weird humans.

Long hair draws down fat faces, short hair to a chin Bob accents, a Pixie cut can look drastic but sexy also.

Some girls with kind of chubby faces can suit shortish hair..it depends on type of face & hairstyle she gets..

Honestly, you'll never know until you do it, sometimes it looks nice because of the face shape but sometimes it will make the face fatter. You never know!

If you have nicely arched eyebrows and nice eyes, or make up to improve the beauty of your eyes then that's fine. If not then you could look more masculine.

I just don't suggest short hair ever!
Everyone I know who has done it (including me) Has regretted it so much.
It's horrible when you feel unsexy and boyish :(

But if you really REALLY REALLLLYYY want to
You should do it xx

Miley Cyrus has a slightly flat face and chubby nose. But when she played her charecter Hanna Mantana she looked like a typical blond if that helps!

according to me short hair would look kinda cute.
but i agree that long hair would like much more better.

It would because it would make her face more prominent, so her face would look rounder than what it already is. <

Is Elmer's glue safe to put on teeth?

Good question. I would walk into a dental office and
tell the reception desk this problem. Its likely that a
dentist will offer an opinion and who better?

it might be safe but since it is water soluble it will not work in your mouth. Check in a costume shop to see if they have anything. <

I take selfie everyday but i forget to take one today! What should I do with my mistake?!!?

You could just take two selfies for the next day or something, No reason to panic over it.

1. Throw all the others out and start over.
2. Ignore the fact you are missing one.
3. Take two, changing clothes (if wearing any) between them, and lie.

Go back to school and learn how to write a sentence.

"I take selfie everyday" should be replaced with "I take a selfie everyday"
"but I forget to take one today!" should be replaced with "but I forgot to take one today"
"What should I do with my mistake?!!?" should be replaced with "What should I do about my mistake?"

If you speak English you should learn to write it. <

Should Congress raise the minimum wage to 50 dollars an hour? As a democrat, I say yes.?

Haha just so we can all pay $20.00 a gallon for gas? It would just lead to hyper inflation. Also, no one will try hard and pay for schooling to be a doctor, accountant, etc. Minimum wage jobs will always be just that, minimum wage. For kids in high school, college, or part time work. Whether democrat or republican ot should be about improving economy for more quality job opportunity.

U have to be a real idiot to believe this... Is people get paid more, things will cost more. And the goverment will make more money. So the dollar will just lose value, and then its the same ****.

Well?! ( Chuckle, Chuckle ) I see you sure know how to stimulate thought. Clicked on you're picture, see you only want privacy, so that's ok.

Feel free to click on mine if you want to. Cannot solicit you to ( ask exactly ), cause that's against the rules. But if you like. Bye.

No, because companies would just higher fewer workers leading to much higher unemployment rates which would end up ruining our economy.

At least $50....but I say $5000.00 per hour would be better,,,,that way people would not have to waste their time getting educated.

Sure why not. After-all, every single Liberal on here cannot wait to pay $1,000.00 for a Big Mac. Course if your 'Anointed One' gets his way, then you'll get that in spades. <

Is it possible to train a bird to return after letting it out?

Homing pigeons can be trained to return home. That's the only bird I would trust to do this.

I have seen it done, but I would not trust a pet bird to come back, they get frightened and fly off in the wrong direction. <

What is the best thing to feed to baby chickens?

A starter mash made just for baby chickens with the right amounts of nutrinets and minerals the chicks need to grow and progress.

If you want to buy feed, feed them chick-starter from the feed store, else just give them some dry instant oatmeal. <

My female umbrella cockatoo, just laid an egg, the first will she lay more this was a shock to me?

I have a 24 year old umbrella. She started laying eggs about 10 or 12 years ago out of the blue. She has only ever produced one at a time Sometimes she sits on it for a few days and sometimes she ignores it completely. She produces about 3 eggs a year now.

Yea, she probably will. Make sure she gets lots of calcium, she needs it for laying eggs. Watch for signs of egg binding. <

I want to get rid of my birds. What is the cleanest method of slaughtering them?

Cockatiel pie springs to mind. Just adapt a chicken pie recipe. Use a meat cleaver to decapitate them.

BAD BAD BAD!!! Shame on you! Hon, right now...after you read this, I want you to put your coat on and go to the nearest pet store... Ask them the same question. They may just buy a few and that way you can go to a resteraunt and eat some real food. Have a heart.....and not a bird one!!!

Hum.. I wouldn't do it any stupid way like that ? You could go ahead and give them away, or bring them to a humane society or something.

If you really want them dead bring them to a vet so they can humanly euthanize them. <

Im going to get a bird soon and found a few that I like. Cockatiel, conure, and quaker parrot. Can you tell me a little about each of them?

Get a cockatiel, conures and quakers are for more advanced bird owners, cockatiels are beginner birds. Look online at each type of bird (they all require a lot of time out of their cages) and then get a handfed baby.

I suggest finding online chat rooms and forums. Right now I prefer one called "for the love of Parrots" on Facebook. It's better if you can have an actual discussion with bird owners so you can go back and forth and ask questions, as well as have support after you acquire your new family member.

comures and quakers are expensive, cockatiels are generally cheaper. they don't need as much aattention, but are willing to accept any attention you give them.cockatiels are the best <

Why don't wild birds want to be hand-fed?

Because birds learn to eat by watching what other birds eat.

A French fry in a human hand - is something it has probably never, ever, seen before. That makes it 'not normal' and un-trustworthy. One the ground - the French fry now looks like other French fries he has seen on the ground that other birds eat. It's that simply.

Unless a bird is bonded to you, or, has already leaned to trust you - I wont take food from you. And even if the bird is bonded and trusts you - this is never a guarantee it will accept new food from you. Generally, you need to have the bird 'watch' you eat and enjoy the new food - and once the bird realizes you have not died from it, and, thinks it might be missing out - then it will come in and try to eat some.

Humans are a predatory species, as indicated by forward facing eyes. The bird will believe that you want to kill and eat it for lunch, not offering lunch as you were. It is possible to have wild birds take food from your hands. In fact, some are reasonably tame, like Chickadee's for example. However, it will take many many hours of patient waiting, day after day, to finally get a wild bird to come close enough.

He probably feels scared or unsure. I would get to know him better and try interacting until he feels comfortable with you. <

How to stop a bird from making an stupid noise?

This question is pretty vague. If it's a wild bird, that's just what they do. If it's a pet bird, you can try teaching it something else to replace it, but once a parrot finds a noise they like, they don't usually stop.

Bird noises may be what we do not want to hear but their communications are meant for others of their kind. They likely do not want to hear us either.

Birds make whatever sounds they are supposed to make. It is normal and natural for them to do so. If you don't like the sound, move away from the cage.

get one of those fake owls or snakes or even a fake large breed cat and put it in the tree...perhaps it will make them avoid the area. the first time i can to south dakota, i stayed with my oldest sister and her husband. he worked the night shift and had to sleep in the daytime. right out his window a huge cloud of red winged blackbirds would congregate, shrieking as loud as they could. it drove him crazy. we actually ended up moving. :( <

Crows are the best bird to have as a pet. What do you think about that?

I watched a crow for a friend for a couple years. They are extremely intelligent for a bird. They are very loyal. I spoiled that bird rotten. His owner came back. He flew on his shoulder turned his back on me and never looked at me again. They are very noisy and Poe had the neighbors complaining as every crow in the county answered him. They are great pets. Remember in the US you need a permit to keep a native crow.

My mother had a pet crow. It used to go play with the wild crows but it always came home. He was fun to watch.

Have had a variety of birds.Budgies, Cockatiels, Tawny owls, Kestrel,Pigeons,Starling,Magpie and Parrot. All were (are) special. But the one that was most special was a Jackdaw. <

Why does my bird eat his own crap?

First - stop yelling at your bird. That is just over-the-top stupid to do. You really, really, really - and I mean really - need to go read a book or two on birds and bird training. All yelling does is teach the bird, 'gee, when I do this - it makes my human yell'. All you have accomplished is allowed your 'bird' to train 'you' to yell. With birds - 'We ignore the bad the praise the good'. You never yell at a bird, you never discipline a bird.

Second - that you do not know poo eating is a sign of vitamin or nutrient deficiency - verifies you are a bad bird owner. You yell at your bird, and, don't know how to feed it properly. Your bird is eating it's poo because you are not feeding it the correct food. Eating poo - is extremely common in many, many animals that are nutrient starved. Duh. If you had mentioned this to your vent during your birds yearly check up (my guess, your bird has never seen a vet) the vet would have taught you about bird nutrition. Your bird - should get a small bowl of 5-6 different fruits and 3-6 different veggie every morning, along with a seed blended for this species. You should also be adding vitamins to the birds water every other day.

You don't have to stay a bad bird owner. You can change. The more you read and learn - the happier and longer your bird buddy will live.

Your bird is searching for the calcium, the bird should have a cuttle bone and some other blocks to keep him healthy. <

My mom is scared of dogs but I want one. HELP?

First, your Mum will have to get used to dogs. Even TINY dogs can scare the most severe cases. I know you want one and you say you are responsible but to have a dog means the dog has to get along with your Mum too. Tiny dogs are still dogs and can cause a heck of a lot damage when they given free reign, which your Mum would most likely do because it sounds like she doesn't want anything to do with them. Try visiting friends and family with dogs to help her cope with the fear first in small baby steps and even go over a book on about dogs and their needs together to help her understand that you are prepared for the responsibility. It is a BIG one, it's not just a few days but a commitment to look after another life, from pup to old age.
But if doesn't work then I'm afraid you will have to wait until you move out and buy your own place. There is a reason why she fears them, so please don't try to upset her.
Good luck.

Well that is two main issues. The first one is for you to do your homework about dogs, do a lot of research to find out what dog would suit your personalities, lifestyles and surrounds. You could volunteer at a dog shelter during the holidays and get some serious experience looking after them and finding out what types of dog personalities would suit you. Only you can demonstrate how responsible you are by taking the initiative and helping out when it is not asked. The second issue is your mother's wariness of dogs. This is quite understandable and most people would have a reason for it. Personally I tend to distrust small dogs as they tend to be the snappy ones. I have been chased while riding a bike by one of those ankle biters ... and it is not funny. On the other hand I feel very comfortable with most large dogs, probably because I have never been bitten by one of them .. for some reason they have never seen me as a threat. It will probably take your mother time to adjust to a dog, but remember she will probably be the one spending the most time with it ... it happens! So, just to be sure when you do find a dog that your mother is with you and follow her lead there to see what she would feel comfortable with. That being said, my mother had a strong dislike of rodents (including rabbits) but she took care of our mice and guinea pigs during our holidays away, and they did grow on her. Adopting a dog is no small thing ... the longer you take to decide to have one the more appreciated it will be. Don't rush your mother and spend lots of time doing your research so you don't purchase a dog you cannot manage or is not suitable for you. Good luck.

Even if you somehow talk her into a dog, what is going to happen when you move out to do your own thing? Colleges most of the time don't accept animals, most apartments don't accept animals, mainly dogs. I have 3 cats and have been stuck in a 1 bedroom apartment with no heat because no one in my town accepts pets. It's never fair to get a pet and then give it away because you have to have a change in your life. Give it a few years, become stable, then get a pet. In the mean time, maybe try a hamster or something like that.

Maybe ask a friend if they and there dog could hang around every now and then if that's ok with your mom, and maybe she'll get used to having a dog around and not be so scared. If not I'm afraid there's nothing you can do but wait till your 18 and move out.

Good luck!

Sorry but you will need to wait till you are grown up and have your own place and a job to pay for expenses to get a dog. WHY would you beg for something you know your mother is afraid of? My mom let me have just about any pet even tho she was not an animal lover.

However, she drew the line on snakes and so I had to wait till I was on my own to get a pet snake. I respected that and didn't whine about it. Maybe you need to do the same - respect your mother's fear of dogs and wait till you are out of the house on your own.

First of all get a small dog, I have a miniature poodle x Lhasa apso and a pug. It took me 3 and a half years to convince my parent to get me a dog and then I ended up getting two any way, to show her your responsible maybe make a presentation of pros and cons of a dog's and another one to overcome the cons... Also maybe you could take her to a shelter or to a friends house who has a dog (a friendly one haha) to show her dogs sent all bad!!! Hope thus helped xoxo

You should volunteer at a dog shelter like dogs trust and prove to her that dogs are great animals and that you have the responsibility to take care of a dog. Then she will definitely consider getting you a pup.

Same with my mom. After research and begging I finally convinced her to get a puppy. She thought it was sooo cute when we got him but she was still a little frightened by him. Im sure your mom doesn't hate dogs and if you convince her that you are responsible enough, she might conquer her fears

It is a huge commitment, there is spaying, vaccinations, worm treatment and flea treatment plus grooming and walking the dog and a dog can live many years. There are also lots of unexpected vet bills. I have two dogs, a pup and a 1 year old. My mother in law does not like them and won't set foot in my house. Ps : my older dog has allergies so that is a huge expense.

Get her to let you petsit a small dog, like a daschund. Hopefully, she will realize that A, you are responsible, and B, dogs are adorable and usually not scary.

buy a small dog which is cute, so that your mom would be attrated towards it, first of all search some cute dog pics on net, then ask your mom which one she likes, have a strong responsibilty of doing everything like talking nicely kindly etc.... then u can get ur dog!!!!!!

It's mom's house, and mom's rules. You can get a dog when you have your own money, and your own place. Sorry.

She has to get used to them because even my mum is scared of them. Just ask your dad to buy one so that you can train it. You could also tell your mum that you need to train dogs before you have one.

lol only solution is to kick her out and rob a dog, lock yourself in a room with the dog, eat boiled eggs and listen to "the venga boys-we like to party" (hope this helps x) <

How does your dog handle fireworks at this time of year, halloween and Guy fawkes night etc. My dog suffers greatly.?

I`m very lucky as my two dogs take no notice of any fireworks or the noise they make.
I often watch the sky displays of fireworks from a distance in my garden and the dogs stand with me.
I think conditioning a puppy from an early age to accept loud bangs like gunfire helps a lot.
But some dogs with nervous and weak temperaments that is genetic, can suffer dreadfully on firework night and during thunderstorms.
I hate fireworks as many farm animals and wild animals suffer from fright because of them and its all just money going up in smoke and serves no purpose except to entertain the masses. But then i`m old and cynical these days! lol.

My last Sheltie, a rescue, reacted poorly to storms and I discovered she had been played with excessively by owners using a laser lite.
This over stimulated here, and lightening triggered a violent barking episode. I found crating her with a cover over the crate settled her down nicely.
I would never recommend playing with a dog using a laser light.
It doesn't take a nervous or fearful dog to do crazy barking. Sometimes, if you think and look hard enough, you can find the real reason for the response. Don't ever assume anything when it comes to a dogs behavior patterns.

We recused an abused puppy from a rescue shelter....and even though he looked like a doberman........he hadn't had his tail or ears clipped yet........so he had all the markings......but because of the early abuse, was actually scared of everything. He hated fireworks especially......and it took us a long time before he would even let us pet him. He flinched every time we stuck our hands to pet him . But with patience and love, he finally learned we were the good guys, and he lived a very pampered and comfortable life with us............and people thought he was this ferocious watch dog.......but he was scared of his own shadow all the time. he wouldn't hurt a fly, and rarely barked at anyone.

My dog doesn't mind it to much, he gets a little nervous tho. Fireworks can actually damage dogs ears though so try to avoid them.

My dog hates fireworks. Scares him to death. I leave him inside with the windows and doors closed. He usually ends up in the downstairs bathroom (his safe spot).

I had a German Shepherd years ago that really suffered too. No matter what I tried. Oddly enough the toy Poodle we had wasn't bothered at all. She looked at him like he was crazy.

my dog gets very frightened but watch out leave your dog inside as many dogs have escaped yards and ran away from fireworks when they were outside <

I picked a Sprocker Puppy But the Litter is Identical, She is female but there is another *****.. How To recognize her again next time?

First of all PLEASE do not patronize or buy from backyard breeders for any excuse. Its a mutt - not a breed. If all are black, the breeder should be marking the puppy you want by color collar or something.

Otherwise you have NO idea which is which when you pick it up.

Again, you are buying mutt and no predicting anything about the puppies - they can completely change in the next few weeks!

Since sprockers are mutts, the papers are bogus. I would pass. Why make mutts when there are so many in need of rescue?

A good breeder does make mutts, and a good breeder puts some sort of identification on puppies if they're identical.

The fact that the breeder isn't doing this tells me they are lazy, backyard breeders, who are just doing this to make money.

It's a mongrel darling. Taking a mixed-breed dog and putting a name on it doesn't make it any more than a mongrel. Plus, I saw the price, and the litter I saw on UK internet was 350 British pounds! That's a helluva lot to pay for a dog who will never have papers.....

Breeders usually put coloured collars on pups, in order for easy identification. You could asked them to do this or revisit to do it yourself, if the breeder is open to this.

Breeders usually will put different colored collars on their pups to tell them apart. (Or they use colored yarn or ribbon) <

Where do cats like to sleep?

Anywhere they please, some of the places some of them choose look really hard and cold too. My cats all have several beds they can sleep in, some are really soft and cushy, some are just cardboard boxes with a few rags (usually tattered towels) on the bottom. And yet the big male preferred to go up and sleep on the hard top of the built-in china cabinet, or on a shelf. Only as he's gotten old has he decided he wants to sleep in his comfy cushy bed. My female migrated; she'd sleep in the window bed in the morning that got the rising sun, then in the afternoon she moved to the other side of the apartment where she could get the afternoon sun. At night she liked to sleep on the cave bed (looks like a padded tent) that has the soft pillow in it (in winter I'd drape a fleece blanket across the doorway to cut down on the cold draft when no one was home so the heat wasn't on). The big male has a similar bed but he only uses that one when he's not feeling well. And of course there's my bed. Really, the cats sleep anywhere they want to.

Generally anywhere, but depends on the cat and what place they are on the cat hierarchy. Cats would usually sleep in high places to feel secure. It's a really secure cat that would ever sleep on the ground, one of my cats likes to sleep on floor next to the Labrador and he doesn't exactly stay still when he sleeps.

My female migrated; she'd sleep in the window bed in the morning that got the rising sun, then in the afternoon she moved to the other side of the apartment where she could get the afternoon sun. My cat likes to sleep on any comfortable chairs during the day time, and at night, he sleeps at the corner of my bed with me. if youve ever seen the mean kitty on youtube, then you'd know that sparta slept in really strange places, like the sink! Some cats even sleep in flower pots, honestly they don't care, they can literally sleep anywhere they want to.

Everywhere pretty much. I can't like to sleep on the bed in the closet on a scratching post. You can't go wrong for the cats sleeping area. Don't go buying the cat bed because he may or may not use it chances are he'll probably like to cuddle up in your bed if he's the type to cuddle.

While cats do like to sleep on human furniture such as beds, sofas and stuffed chairs, they like it better when a cat-sized mat, blanket or even an item of your clothing is on those furniture items. Cat beds, mats and blankets add extra comfort, and warmth, depending upon what material the mat or blanket is made from, and how warm or cold it is in the house.

It doesn't really matter where the bed is, but they love under the boiler, get a high sided bed, without a cover on the top and make sure it has lots of padding on the bottom. Also, they hare gimmicks, we spent loads on radiator beds etc. and ended up chucking them away. If you have a human bed next to the radiator then it is highly likely they will use that anyway. BUT ONE THING IS FOR SURE, WHATEVER BED YOU BUY, NOTHING WILL TRUMP CLEAN LAUNDRY!

mine sleep wherever they decide to drop :) at the moment one is sleeping in her cat bed and the other is sleeping on top of the couch behind the curtain as to get the sun and some breeze from the open window

inside cat: usually abov your head or at the end of your bed, sometimes they prefer the bathroom, that's where mine sleeps!
Outside cats: love sleeping in shade where it is cooler, sometimes even the sun, watch out for white cats they can get cancer!

My cat likes to sleep in dark places such as a box, under the sheets, under the couch he's like a little ninja sometimes.

Anywhere that is comfortable to them at the moment. Mainly on a bed, couch, chair, but usually NOT in the bed you got at the store knowing that the cat would love it!

adult cats usually sleep in dark places i never had a cat just 3 kittens kittens sleep on soft things like sofas or something
it depends on stuff like how arm it is how dark it it and how private it is that is if its an adult but kittens go for the complete opposite

Cats differ. Depending on the cat. Some cats likes to sleep when their owners sleeps, some likes to sleep where there is lots of loud noise, while some would sleep whenever and wherever. My cats sleeps on trash bags, tables, and furniture. <

My cat died and its my fault, I left him :-(?

The vet is not God. A vet and the staff do all they can for our pets but sometimes our pets die no matter what. Just like people. Maybe had you taken your cat to the vet on Friday he may not have been so weak and so sick, maybe the vet could have done something. With pets, problems get worse very very fast and a whole weekend can make the difference between life and death. Use this as a learning experience, do not procrastinate when your pet is ill or hurt, get him to the vet asap. Why were you medicating him when the vet didn't even know what was wrong? Don't blame the vet; they did everything they could to save your little guy.

No you wouldn't. You did everything you could to save your cat. He died, but you tried everything you could with the information you had.
If he had died at home, you would be so sorry that you didn't take him to a vet to try and save him.
I am so sorry for your loss.
But you did the right thing getting him to the vet. It was his best chance, but it doesn't sound like anything could have saved him.

I'm so sorry this happened, I had a cat die before. You tried to save him and that's all that matters you cannot look at the past, what's done is done. If you can bury him close to you it will make u feel better

Cats don't live forever even though we'd like them too. I've had several cats die with old age problems. I tried to make them live longer but every cat is different. In time you will get another cat or kitten and that will make you feel better. I'm so sorry for your loss.

You did what you could. Dont take it too hard. The vet did all he could to help your little guy. Some things are beyond even the vets control. If he was at home he would have suffered and you would not want to see that. Its best to know him when he was not dying. Even if he was sick he still loved you for taking care of him. He may have not known that but he still loved you.

It's not your fault. You were trying to help him. He was sick, and sometimes all the medicine in the world won't help. Don't beat yourself up. <

Cocker spaniel puppies!?

Well the ones that sell for 1200 are from breeders that have both parents pedigree and they are health screened to make sure there are no genetic problems. So just assuming that you don't have any of that since you're asking on here I'd say 3-400 at the most.

depends, are they registered in the AKC (if you're in america) have they been to a vet? and if they have their shots. If they have all of this and it is official i'd say 1000-1500 would be very reasonable. When buying dogs instead of adopting people are usually going to care about all the titles and the prestige that comes with a pure bred. if you haven't done these things like shots (relatively cheap) and gotten the paperwork from the AKC people won't want to pay as much. if you do them you can get a larger profit and when people are willing to pay more they will also probably take good care of these doggies. hope i helped(:

It depends whether you're an experienced breeder. People pay for the class of the dog as well as the breed so health checks must be done. Also check the family history of the puppies to spot any hereditary diseases or defects. The lowest price would probably be around $300 and I have seen some go for $2000

What are the pups registered in? AKC or crappy registries like APRI, CKC, etc.? Are the parents titled (work or show?) What is your health guarantee?

If these puppies are not registered or registed in the worthless registeries like Continental KC, then figure the cost of your shots, worming and vet visit - about $50 per puppy.

REPUTABLE breeders get $800+ for their quality puppies. Your puppies are probably not worth anything more then $50 or you would not be on here asking. $700 is overpriced if your puppies are not quality ones and registered in AKC.

It's a reasonable price if they're AKC registered; if both parents are champions; and if both parents have been OFA and CERF cleared. Otherwise, they're just pet quality dogs that aren't worth that kind of money.

Only if the parents are ch titled and genetic health tested and pups come with a 2 yr health guarantee.
Since you dont mention any of that, they are only worth $300 at most with AKC papers, with at least 1 yr health guarantee . No papers or ckc, or less health guarantee $100 tops

Good lines,Registered, with shots? $700 is a steal. I sold my pet quality chow chows for 3,000 and that was ten years ago.

ANOTHER CLUELESS BACKYARD BREEDER....BACKYARD BREEDER JUNK YOU HAVE FOR DOGS $50 TO FIND A GOOD HOME FOR YOUR DOGS <

My dog killed my kitten - should he be put down?

No, it was your irresponsibility that caused the kittens death, it your dog is aggressive towards cats they shouldn't have been in the same room. (don't feel bad tho, it was just a mistake and an important learning experience.) A dog doesn't deserve to die for doing what dogs naturally do, hunt. Especially if your not even sure that he did it, even if you did know he did it that would still be cruel and unfair. If you would kill your dog because he killed a cat how are you any better that he is?

I'm sorry about your kitten, I know how hard it can be to lose a pet. :(

No. Introducing and then keeping the kitten, should have been managed by you and in the safest way possible.

If you didn't see which dog did it, then you weren't supervising as well as you should have been. It seems your dogs were not properly cat socialised by you either.

Many dogs can't live with cats and to be honest, if each of these were put to sleep, it would halve the current dog population!

One of my rescues is a probable cat killer. She's never killed a cat but I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that she wouldn't hesitate.

Because of this, I have never and will never allow her anywhere near cats. If I did and she killed, would it be fair to kill her? No, because I would be at fault for not preventing it from happening.

To be honest, there isn't really a right or wrong thing to do here, it's down to opinion.

Personally, I don't think you should, as it would be morally wrong to kill the dog. Is it your place to kill others in retribution for their actions? Two wrongs don't make a right. Also, you are only 90% sure that that dog did it. Is 10% really enough of a margin of error when a life is on the line? Again, that's opinion, but I think I wouldn't say so.

On the other hand, is this dog is an actual threat to other animals, and possibly humans, then that would be a more valid reason to consider putting it down on. Was this a one off or have things like this happened before?

It is not my place to say whether or not to kill your pet, but I hope this helps you decide.

Matt :)

I don't know why you're trying to give your dog the ultimate punishment for your stupidity. Most people would have had the intelligence to test the dog first to see if they were cat aggressive before just running out and getting a kitten. Now you know that he is not cat friendly but that MIGHT be correctable or you could do something VERY logical...DON'T GET ANOTHER CAT. Not that hard to figure out. God! Grow some common freaking sense instead of coming on here and coming off as a ditz.

Add: Also you have NO concrete let alone circumstantial evidence so to put one of your two dogs down for your gross stupidity is like trying and convicting somebody who just told somebody else "f you" of murder even though there is absolutely zero evidence against them. You are doing the same b.s. Thank GOD the police have to have at the very least strong circumstantial evidence before they take somebody into custody for killing somebody. Maybe you need to take a lesson from them.

No. If this is the only incident like this, and it does sound as if this was maybe more your fault, than his. A previous neighbour bought a new Whippet puppy and within weeks of him arriving, he caught and killed a feral kitten on their property. She was horrified, especially as they had 3 cats (the kitten didn't come from them - their cats were all neutered). However, he never did this again, and lived well with their cats.

Obviously if your dog is generally aggressive, you'd need to think carefully about his future. But for killing your kitten - no.

No. Just no. Dogs usually see small fluffy things ad toys. It's not the dogs fault. If you got a kitten and you've got two dogs, you need to supervise! And definitely not if you're only 90% sure?!

No way.

This incident was YOUR fault, not the dogs.
YOU should have never left a vulnerable kitten alone with 2 dogs at any time, not even for a second. End of.

Firstly, Do Not Put Down Your Dog If You Aren't Sure That They Did It.
Was it your dog's fault? Did he mean to do it?
If he did, he needs some serious discipline. Personally, I don't believe he should be put down, maybe go to some proper training classes or get a muzzle.

Basically its your fault that your dog killed the kitten!. So why should you have him put down? You should have supervised and been watchful the whole time. For heavens sake, do not even contemplate getting another kitten!

Nope. Perhaps you should look in the mirror to see the guilty party here. Dogs are creatures of instinct and kill small animals sometimes. It was naive at best to leave a kitten alone with TWO dogs.

The dog did what dogs do, it followed its instinct. It was your job to evaluate the risk and to manage it. However, if you feel you cannot live without having both dogs and cats, this is obviously not the dog you should have gotten. The dog needs to be in a household without other pets which can be seen as prey by a dog.

No, he was just acting naturally. Would you kill a spider for eating a fly, or an owl for killing a mouse? You need to keep dogs and cats separate, until the kitten has grown big enough to defend itself

Why would you put down a dog that did a natural thing - killing a smaller animal - because YOU didn't supervise your animals?

No, don't blame the innocent dog (s)! It was your fault for not supervising and keeping them separate. Dogs are prey animals, cats are prey, facts of life.

It depends on how old he is if hes old than yes because you can't teach old dogs.
But if hes young than he might have a chance, you could train him really well then there is no problem

Sorry to hear this. :(

No. It is the humans' responsibility to keep their pets safe.
My Greyhound is not safe with cats so I didn't replace my last cat when she died of natural causes at 17. <

Vegetarian diet for dogs?

I'm not sure if this is a serious question. A dog may be able to live off a veggie diet but its certainly a lot healthier to eat only meat and bones, since dogs are carnivores no omnivores or herbivores. But if you insist on feeding a dog a veggie diet than make sure to look up the nutritional needs for a dog that size and find foods that can match that, and you need to give it something hard like a bone to clean its teeth or they will eventually rot away. But again I highly recommend not doing this. Most vets either recommend a kibble diet or a raw diet consisting of nothing but raw meat and bones and that's the healthiest but you also take some small risks when feeding raw. And if you look in the ingredients of real high end dog food, like blue, you'll see there aren't any grains or vegetables because those make a dog more fat and have a lot of carbs and other things the body can't process.

A PURE veggie diet would not be good for a dog or a cat. Brown rice, potatoes, vegetables, cod liver oil, soy, brewer's yeast, wheat, are great foods to include in the animal's diet. However, at least 40 percent of the diet should consist of fish, chicken and stock. With this combination you will have a healthy animal with only minor health issues throughout it's life. Animals that eat 100 percent meat are prone to numerous health issues. lf you want to make your veterinarian rich then continue to feed 100 percent meat.

You will kill your dog. Some lady tried feed cats and only veggie diet and they all died within a month and grew very weak. Dogs NEED meat, there's no way around that. You can get a vegetarian all you want and tahts great for you but don't force your dogs to do it.

Umm, NO. Dogs are CANIVORES (meat eaters) designed by NATURE to digest meat and BONE in 4 hours or less. They CANNOT digest raw fruit or vegetables due to the plant cellulose. Feeding the dog a vegetarian diet (like you are proposing) and it will most likely sicken and become ill.

Dogs have an entirely DIFFERENT digestive tract (length & much stronger digestive juices) than humans (who are omnivores able to eat teh widest variety of foods) or cows =herbivores (the latter designed to be vegetarians by nature).

Dogs are carnivores. Trying to feed your dog lentils is like trying to feed a horse steak. The healthiest thing to feed your dog is a good high quality dog food made with high protein that they need to be healthy.

I have a friend who is vegetarian for religious reasons, she cannot have any meat on any surfaces that her food might come in contact with. Despite this, she STILL feeds her dog a meat based diet because it's what is best for her dog. Eating purely veggies might be healthy in humans (the jury is still out on it to be honest) but pure veggies in dogs is NOT healthier than meat.

Dogs are carnavores. Meat is their basic staple diet - but they can eat certain fruit and veg. . I do know that they enjoy a slice of apple, a few scoops of plain bio yogurt, an occasional piece of cheese, a bran or wholegrain cracker,, even a small portion of porridge....most dogs are partial to a slice of raw carrot too...BUT BEWARE PLEASE! certain fruit and veg can be poisenous to dogs such as onions! Grapes! Citrus fruits! I know that most dogs enjoy a nut, especially peanuts.A teaspoon of olive oil mixed into their meat will give their coat a healthy shine too. Truthfully dogs are NOT vegaterians. To feed them nowt but veg is cruel! Make sur eyour doog has a full and healthy balanced diet of meat, dog biscuits and little portions of suitable fruit veg and nuts as a treat.

Dogs are carnivores. People have come very close to causing serious health problems for their pets by trying to feed them strictly vegetarian or vegan diets. If you want to do that for yourself, go on ahead. But for an animal that needs to eat meat and depends on you to provide the correct nutrition for it, please do not remove meat from your dog's diet.

You are asking mere dog owners this question. However when you get into the nutrition experts, you get far different answers.
Dr. Joe Bartges, DVM, diplomate of the American College of Vet Internal Medicine and of the American College of Vet Nutrition as well as professor of medicine and nutrition at the U of Tenn College of Vet Medicine says, and I quote from my class notes;
"Dogs are NOT carnivores but omnivores and can do just fine on a well balanced vegetarian diet".

It definately ISNT the healthiest thing for them, in fact its very UNHEALTHY. They're CARNIVORES, not plant eaters. They're bodies are designed to get all they need from raw meat and meaty bones, feeding plant material will put extra strain on their digestive systems, eventually you'll end up with an undernurished unhealthy dog (if the poor thing will eat such a diet in the first place).

The best diet you can offer is known as the prey miodel raw diet. Just make sure you resaearch it thoroughly to make sure you are using the right balance of different meats, etc. After that its quiick, easy and healthy.

If you want a vegetarian of vegan pet, get a rabbit. Dogs do best on a diet that consists of meat. While they can have veggies and other foods, meat is best.

There used to be a vegan pet food made for dogs. Dogs can live and thrive without meat. Cats can't. You can ask your local pet store to see if they can get you a vegan dog food or maybe your vet can get it for you.

You can try Amazon.com and look for vegan food for dogs or vegan cookbooks for dogs. Something like that would help you to prepare food with adequate nutrition for dogs. You need a vegan cook book or meal preparation guide for dogs so that the dog's needs will be met. Dogs have different nutritional needs than people.

Dogs are omnivores. They need protein from meat sources where they couldn't get enough of it from vegetables. Vegetables would not provide enough calories for your dog. Their ancestors eat almost strictly meat so it would make sense their descendents (the dog) would eat meat too.

Talking to your vet about it is honestly the best thing, he'll be able to tell you how to go about it and which foods to get. Personally, I don't think it's a healthy idea, but I'm not going to preach to you about dog health because i'm not a vet.

I like the idea of eating people who need to feel important thus force fads to which they subscribe onto nonconsenting creatures causing long-term harmful effects.

Surrender your dogs to a better home and buy a Chia pet.

if i ever turned vegetarian for any reason, i would still feed it carnivore diet. it is not good for a dog to not get what it needs.

Dogs were evolved to be big meat eaters.
Don`t deprive your dog of its natural food stuff just because YOU would rather it be fed like its a rabbit.
